Without an audience, who do we perform for? Ourselves! Theatre is a passion that cannot be stopped, even when we lose our stages to perform on; we find a way to stay active and involved. Theatre Fairfield has plunged itself into the world of Zoom, with a good portion of our students taking part in weekly readings of Shakespeare's plays. Organized by Dan Burke (fight choreographer for past TF productions such as Fortinbras, Authenticity, and Titus Andronicus) TF students have met up with other theatre artists from across New England to take a break from the stress of the current state of the world and share in our mutual passion. So far the plays King Lear, Richard III, Macbeth,
and Much Ado About Nothing
have been read, with plans to read Measure For Measure
and Aphra Behn's The Rover
(Behn was the first professional woman playwright!) planned for the near future.
The cast finishing up a successful reading of Shakespeare's
Macbeth. Theatre Fairfield Students featured include: Kiersten Bjork, Samantha Millette, Park Lytle, Fallon Sullivan, Kierstin Jones, Emily Ramsey, Paul Bova, Megan Beauregard, and Tracy Ferguson.
