What is the Independent Project?
Each year, advanced theatre students have the opportunity to apply for a grant from the Jamie Hulley Arts Foundation to produce an entirely student-run production at the start of the Spring semester. Upon approval from both the theatre faculty and the Jamie Hulley Arts Foundation Board of Directors, students put the lessons they have learned to create a full theatre piece on their own. The project teaches students to put their production experience into action, free to problem-solve and collaborate amongst their peers.
